Geertjan serves as Research Director for the Research Institute of Child Development and Education (RICDE). This year, RICDE received a highly positive evaluation from an external research audit committee. The institute’s research was praised as “world class” and highly impactful. The broader field of pedagogical and educational sciences in the Netherlands was also evaluated very positively.

Youth Prevention Lab

The Youth Prevention Lab (in Dutch: Preventieve Jeugdhulp en Opvoeding) is part of the Research Institute of Child Development and Education at the University of Amsterdam. The lab is currently headed by Dr. Patty Leijten.
